• Dogs love the taste
• Kills fleas within 2 hours of dosing and protects from 4 tick species: the American Dog Tick, Brown Dog Tick, Lone Star Tick, and Deer tick
Bravecto can be purchased as a single dose, a 2 dose supply, or a 4 dose supply to cover your pet for a full year. However, this particular medication is not sold over-the-counter at your local pet store. You will need your veterinarian to write you a prescription in order to purchase one of the three available dosages. Choose between three months of coverage, six months, or a full year (4 chewable tablet pack).
Directions for Use
You can choose anytime of the day to give your dog his or her first dose, but it's best to administer it with food. Mealtime is a great time to give Bravecto to your pet. As some dogs do not like to chew pills, you can wrap your pet's medication in a bit of easy to chew food at mealtime (such as a slice of bread or a cheese single slice).
Bravecto should only be given to puppies 6 months of age and older. Dogs weighing between 4.4 - 9.9 lbs should only have a dose of 112.5. If your dog weighs between 9.9 to 22.0 lbs, give him or her a dose of 250. For dogs weighing between 22.0 - 44.0 lbs, give a dose of 500. If you have a large breed dog weighing between 44.0 - 88.0 lbs give him or her 1000 and if you have an extra large dog, (between 88.0 - 123.0 lbs) give a dose of 1400. Dogs weighing more than 123.0 lbs must have a special formulated dosage so be sure to check with your veterinarian regarding the proper amount before using this product.
Unlike competing brands, Bravecto is safe enough to be given to pregnant and lactating dogs as long as the weight is at least 4.4 lbs or greater.
As with any medication there are some things you should avoid with Bravecto. These include never giving any doses to cats and also never administer to horses.
