How to Administer

Giving your dog NexGard is fast and easy. Simply give your dog the dosage he or she needs based by his or her weight. If you have questions about the dosage simply speak to your dog's veterinarian for clarification. For dogs 4 lbs to 121 lbs, administer one chewable tablet. For dogs over 121 lbs have to have a slightly higher dosage in the right combination based on his or her weight. Do not use this product on cats or horses.

If your pet doesn't seem interested in the medication, you can wrap the pill in a bit of food (like a thin slice of cheese) and he or she will eagerly chew up the treat.

Precautions

Store at or below 30°C (86°F) with excursions permitted up to 40°C (104°F). Ask your veterinarian before using this product if your dog has a history of seizures or if your dog is going to be or is pregnant. Also ask before using if your dog is lactating as NexGard has not been evaluated enough for use with lactating dogs and may pass on to newborn puppies through feedings. If your dog is on any other medications besides heartworm prevention, be sure to ask your veterinarian if it's safe to use NexGard Chewables.

Warnings

NexGard Chewables are only designed for dogs. Do not give to humans. Keep this drug and all other drugs out of the reach of children. In case of accidental swallowing, contact a physician immediately or your local poison control center. The most frequent reactions reported from use in dogs include:

• Flaky and Dry Skin
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Reduced Appetite or No Appetite
• And Lethargy

In case of overdose, seek emergency veterinary assistance immediately. In the case of a missed dose, wait until the next day and administer the next scheduled dose as usual and return to a monthly schedule. This way your dog or dogs stay as safe as possible.
